STRIPPING ARCHITECTURE AIRED ON TV

We are not pigeons! We are people with rights, consciousness, dignity, collective integrity, and memory, and as such, we are best represented as citizens in the city. Citizens should not be treated like pigeons, even though they often are!

While we firmly believe that pigeons, like all other animals, are an important part of the urban ecosystem, the title "We are not pigeons" is a satirical take and tile of a famous show in Belgium that discusses everyday issues faced by citizens.
We were privileged to be contacted by the popular TV channel RTBF to participate in the intriguing segment called "we are not pigeons" (FR: on n'est pas des pigeons).

It was a wonderful experience to be filmed by a professional TV show team that advocates for citizens' everyday concerns. What we found most appealing was the journalists' interest in documenting our work methods, the behind-the-scenes processes, and the daily dynamics we encounter in our professional and personal spheres.

Besides the questions, Valery Mahy (the reporter) was keen to delve deeper into the urban flaws and disparities of Brussels and how we identify and communicate them to the public. We were thrilled by their eagerness to learn more and explore the built environment through our perspective. We truly appreciate it when people don't just show superficial interest in the built environment but also strive to uncover the complexities that shape our cities and invest energy in deeply understanding our intentions.
