We did it. We finally did it. On November 15th, we launched our first book: "The Urban Revolution is a Fun Sketch"
Many wonderful people, brimming with energy and curiosity, attended the book launch. It was truly the greatest reward imaginable. However, during the book launch, we didn't focus much on the book itself. Instead, we highlighted the themes it promotes. We aimed to present the main ideas by avoiding traditional book promotion and offering an immersive and engaging experience.
We started with a short video, a compilation from our YouTube content. Then, we had an intriguing presentation followed by a sketching workshop. Afterward, everyone was invited to explore the mysterious basement, adorned with candles and thought-provoking illustrations hidden in the darkness. We concluded with an exhibition from the workshop, and in the end, we voted for the best sketch. The event was accompanied by laughter, conversation, snacks, and drinks. The night was filled with memorable moments, positive energy, social interaction, and self-learning. Yet, what truly resonated with us was that everyone was proactive, giving their best to express an urban idea on paper. Many were modest, shy, and unsure if their sketches were good or meaningful. The reality was quite the opposite. All the sketches were so well-packed with information that we confidently assert they could rival those of skilled urban planners.
The sketches were concise, clear, and delivered with a cheerful critique. That is the essence of the book "The Urban Revolution is a Fun Sketch" You are encouraged to engage in urban criticism with fun, charm, and "out of the box" sketches.
